IRIS Alert (Illinois Researcher Information Service)
The IRIS database is a searchable index of funding opportunities. IRIS performs general or fine-tuned searches by subject and keyword. Users may enter a profile complete with keywords tailored to their research interests. IRIS will automatically search for funding information, and the user may determine how often a search is performed. These search results can be automatically e-mailed to the user or posted on the web, at which time, the user will receive an e-mail message directing them to the web site where they can view their search results.

IRIS Expertise Data Base (Illinois Researcher Information Service)
The IRIS Expertise Service allows faculty members at institutions subscribing to IRIS to create detailed electronic CVs (biosketches) and post them to the WWW for perusal by colleagues at other colleges and universities, program officers at federal and private funding agencies, and technology-transfer departments at private companies. Faculty will also have the option of restricting access to their information to colleges and universities that subscribe to IRIS, or to their institution only.
