FY-08 University Research Grant Award

The following are key calendar dates for the University Research Grant Program and reflect accommodations needed in response to recent trends regarding the state budget.

Oct. 2, 2006-
Jan. 19, 2007*
Colleges inform their faculty of the FY-08 University Research Grant Program and provide them with guidelines for application.
   
No later than
June 1, 2007***
Colleges submit to Research and Sponsored Programs their list of FY-08 faculty awardees along with the Anticipated Professional Outcome Form and Budget Form for the proposed project.** Also provide a breakout by categories (Grant Development, Research Development, Tenure-Track and Tenured Faculty) and dollar amounts awarded.
   
No later than
June 1, 2007***
Colleges announce the recipients of their FY-08 University Research Grant awards. Recipients are notified in writing.
   
No later than
June 1, 2007***
Colleges verify FY-08 budgets with Graduate School/Research and Sponsored Programs Office.
   
July 2, 2007 *** Faculty will receive their FY-08 University Research Grant award dollars.
No later than
August 1, 2007
Any proposed revisions in colleges guidelines for following funding cycle (FY-09) to be submitted to Research and Sponsored Programs.
   
Sept. 14, 2007 Colleges receive notification of approval of and/or recommendations for
revisions to guidelines for next funding cycle (FY-09). Research and Sponsored Programs forward the calendar, budget page and budget guidelines to Colleges, if there are changes.
   
Nov. 1, 2007 Colleges submit to Research and Sponsored Programs a summary listing the completed Professional Outcomes for each faculty member awarded a University Research Grant in FY-07, as well as FY-06 for a second time. Prior to November 1 (precise date to be determined by each College) University Research Grant recipients submit to the Department and College Deans evidence of their Professional Outcomes (Professional Outcome Form/Accomplished Professional Outcomes) and verify completion of the project described in the Professional Outcome Form/Proposed Professional Outcomes which accompanied the original University Research Grant proposal.
